Maria Arizaleta

Maria joined the Environmental Economic Geology Laboratory in September 2020. She obtained her B.Sc. at the University of Calgary in Geology and Environmental Sciences. Her past research has focused on constraining growth rates of Mg-silicates at ambient temperatures. Her Ph.D. is focused on characterizing and assessing potential for carbonation of clay minerals found in lake sediments and kimberlite mine tailings.
