Verônica Rosa is a research assistant and MSc student at the Environmental Economic Geology Laboratory (EEGL/UAlberta). Verônica joined the EEGL in September 2023 with a research project focused on carbon sequestration through the carbonation of unconventional minerals in mine tailings. Before joining the EEGL, Verônica obtained her BSc of Geology degree at Universidade Federal do Paraná, in Brazil, with an undergraduate thesis focused on the seismic characterization of a paleochannel at the Basin Analysis Laboratory (LABAP).
