Congratulations to Sumaila Sulemana (3rd from left) and Jonathan Spence (1st from left)! They secured first place in the Carbon Capture and Storage West Semifinal and went ahead to win the Selley Cup (2nd place overall) in the American Association of Petroleum Geologists’ Imperial Barrel Global Final Competition for 2024. This is an unprecedented achievement for the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Alberta and for the EEGL. Sumaila and Jonathan would like to share that they appreciate the love and support from everyone for making this achievement possible.
