Congratulations to Dr. Maria Arizaleta who successfully defended her PhD in April 2025! Maria’s PhD thesis is on the topic of “Constraining the formation of Mg-clays in Mg-carbonate rich alkaline lakes”. She is now a Postdoctoral Fellow at Umeå University in Sweden where she is working on mineral-based Direct Air Capture of CO2.
